2026 Summer Interns: Learning, Growing, and Innovating with Ipsen
Meet the Interns
Each summer, Ipsen welcomes a new class of interns who bring fresh perspectives, innovative ideas, and a passion for learning. Through hands-on projects and collaboration with experienced professionals, interns gain valuable real-world experience while contributing to meaningful initiatives across the organization. Representing a variety of academic disciplines and universities, this year’s class is developing technical and professional skills in engineering, finance, purchasing, quality documentation, and retrofit operations. Learn more about each intern and the unique experiences they are gaining throughout the summer.
Emma K.
Quality, Documentation & Warranty
Emma is working as a Quality, Documentation and Warranty (QDW) Intern this summer. She is entering her junior year at Indiana Tech, pursuing a major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering. Her interest in the field grew from a deep passion for solving puzzles and figuring out the reason behind why things work.
Emma is assisting the QDW team on a variety of documentation projects where she hopes to strengthen her technical writing and root cause analysis skills. Her goal is to become a designer, drafter, or process engineer after graduation. Outside of work, Emma enjoys playing hockey, spending time with friends, and reading.

Jacob M.
Purchasing
This summer, Jacob is working as Ipsen’s Purchasing Intern. He is currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management with a minor in Business Administration at Rockford University. He was drawn to the field by its growing potential and the wide range of career opportunities offered.
Jacob is supporting purchasing operations by creating purchase orders, expediting materials, and reviewing reports. He is excited to apply his classroom knowledge in a professional setting and expand his computer and role-specific skills. He hopes his internship experience will help him decide on a future career path. Outside of school and work he enjoys collecting vinyl records, golfing, and spending time with friends.

Eli D.
Controls Engineering
This summer, Eli is gaining hands-on experience in industrial automation while completing his Electrical Engineering degree at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was drawn to the field because it offers opportunities to work with both physical electrical systems and digital programming.
Eli’s intern project involves implementing a new software on a TITAN furnace. He looks forward to solving real-world technical challenges, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and working directly with furnace controls technology. After graduation, he hopes to become a controls systems engineer, and he sees his experience at Ipsen as valuable preparation for that career. He most enjoys playing basketball and skiing in his free time.

work on a real furnace.”
Taelor P.
Finance
With a strong interest in financial literacy and a passion for numbers, Taelor is pursuing degrees in Finance and Accounting at the University of Iowa. She is entering her junior year and is spending the summer as a Finance Intern.
In her role, Taelor is learning about several key areas within the finance department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, staff accounting, and financial reporting. She hopes to strengthen her professional skills and pursue financial advising or wealth management after graduation. When she’s not working or studying, Taelor enjoys staying active through running, strength training, pickleball, and volleyball, and recently completed the Wisconsin Half Marathon.

that support a business.”
Abbie J.
Mechanical Engineering
Abbie is excited to gain hands-on experience while studying Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at Northern Illinois University. She was drawn to engineering by a passion for problem-solving and the versatility of the field.
This summer, she is working directly on supporting chamber assemblies, pumping systems, water systems, and other equipment designed to meet specific process requirements. Abbie hopes to pursue a career in either the biomedical or heat-treating industry and views her internship as an opportunity to build technical expertise, gain project design experience, and solidify her professional skills. She enjoys sewing, thrifting, and repurposing clothing into new creations, as well as spending time with her two cats.

Eli S.
Retrofits
Eli is a returning Retrofits Intern at Ipsen and a sophomore student at Rock Valley College. His choice to pursue a path in Mechanical Engineering stems from an interest in how parts are assembled and work together.
While routing documentation for retrofits projects, Eli is excited to develop skills in process mapping, technical documentation, and cross-departmental communication. He plans to pursue a career as a mechanical engineer and believes his internship experience will provide industry knowledge and practical skills that complement his coursework. In his free time, Eli enjoys pitching for the Rock Valley College baseball team, golfing, and weightlifting.

Kira C.
Engineering (Souderton)
Kira C. is an Engineering Intern at Ipsen’s Souderton facility and a senior at Clarkson University. She is completing a double major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. Her interest in the field is driven by a passion for space exploration and satellite technology.
Kira is excited to support the fabrication and design process of hot zones and collaborate with engineers from a variety of technical backgrounds. She enjoys applying her academic knowledge to real-world challenges. After graduation, Kira hopes to pursue a career in satellite design and sees her internship as an opportunity to improve her design skills and apply them in practical applications. Outside of work and school, she enjoys weightlifting, swimming, and serves as secretary of her school’s club volleyball team.

Boris J.
Project Management
Boris is a Mechanical Engineering student at Northern Illinois University, entering his junior year. His interest in engineering stems from a passion for problem-solving and finding practical solutions to complex challenges.
This summer, Boris is excited to be interning at Ipsen where he will support project management efforts, work on updating schedules for ongoing projects, and help projects stay on track. He is eager to develop his project management, communication, and scheduling skills to reach his goals post-graduation. With experience from his internship, he will be working towards a full-time career in engineering or project management. Outside of work and school he enjoys running and spending time with family and friends to maintain a healthy balance
