Ipsen Recon burners are made with special ceramics that achieve best-in-class thermal efficiency. Our latest Recon IV burners provide reduced energy costs and improved sustainability. Designed for use with hydrogen, the new burners can help reduce your carbon emissions to zero. With a simple retrofit, your existing burners can be replaced with the new Recon IV with minimal downtime.

PdMetrics is Ipsen’s predictive maintenance software that combines control algorithms and integrated sensors with artificial intelligence to track the health and integrity of your furnace. This dramatically reduces unplanned down time by alerting you of problems before they happen. With PdMetrics, you can anticipate future maintenance needs, predict and schedule service, and optimize equipment performance. This software also monitors energy consumption to keep the furnace running efficiently.

Ipsen’s retrofits team can replace furnace components such as insulation, burners, pumps, and controls with more modern and energy efficient versions, bringing your aged furnace back to life. This saves money and reduces the need to fully replace equipment, which allows for longer operation and less waste.

Ipsen provides a certification process to verify that your furnaces are running at peak energy efficiency. For new furnaces, we can provide a reference cycle during commissioning and compare that to future operational cycles to determine weak points in the heat-treatment process. We can also provide a reference cycle on furnaces that are undergoing modernizations or conversions to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

EcoDiff is an intelligent, process-dependent oil temperature control of the diffusion pump, which can easily be retrofitted into existing vacuum systems. Normally, the diffusion pump oil-heater runs at 100% throughout the heat-treatment cycle. The intelligent heating control in EcoDiff monitors the entire heat-treatment cycle and greatly reduces energy consumption. Due to the process-dependent control, the heating capacity of the oil temperature can be reduced by up to 50%, depending on the process steps.

EcoPump is an intelligent, process-dependent vacuum pump controller that can be easily retrofitted into existing vacuum systems. Normally, the vacuum pump runs at 100% throughout the heat-treatment cycle. The intelligent vacuum pump control in EcoPump monitors the entire heat-treatment cycle and greatly reduces energy consumption. Due to the process-dependent control, the vacuum pump can be switched off completely during certain process steps.

These two measures not only protect the environment, but also increase the service life of the vacuum pumps and reduce their maintenance and repair costs.
