Ipsen India Achieves Record Sales Growth in a Challenging Year

Ipsen India’s Atmosphere Technology Business continues to trend up, achieving 27 percent YOY sales growth for Atmosphere Furnaces in 2022.

“Last year was challenging with many headwinds due to geo-political crises and post COVID supply chain constraints making it difficult to run regular business activities. Despite these challenges, we achieved excellent sales realization, and it is very well appreciated,” said Ipsen India CEO & MD, Shubhendra Panse. “With this I would like to congratulate the entire Ipsen India team for the excellent teamwork and well-coordinated efforts, especially last quarter ending in December. Our company is well positioned to grow even further in the coming years.”

Atmosphere furnace orders spanned several industries including automotive, commercial heat treating, energy and tool & die. Ipsen India’s sales included a wide variety of furnace models such as batch, as well as continuous gas carburizing pusher furnaces for critical applications.

Ipsen India also ended 2022 by outperforming previous years in aftermarket support to customers by providing on time parts deliveries and services. In 2022, Ipsen India performed over 40 percent more field service visits YOY. These visits were related to installation and start-up, furnace relocation, hot zone replacement, preventive maintenance, calibrations and leak checks. Ipsen India’s Aftermarket Team not only supports equipment manufactured in India, but also furnaces installed across Southeast Asia made by Ipsen’s Vacuum and Atmosphere Technology Excellence Centers, in the U.S. and Germany respectively.

“We continue to see improved business levels in all target markets, driven by the need for additional production from existing and new customers along with requests for more unique thermal process capabilities for diverse industrial segments. For 2023, our focus is on further improving aftermarket support to customers. We see tremendous opportunity here with more than 600 Ipsen installations in India,” said Ipsen India’s Vice President of Sales, Prashant Dusane. “We continue to add resources to the team and to improve response times and reduce downtime for our customers.”
